I do find it funny how sometimes when you leave an unfinished piece alone for a while, it becomes so much easier to finish. I had a short story I hated and was convinced would be almost impossible to polish into something I would be happy with. Left it alone for six months, picked it up to give it one last chance and it just felt like a completely different piece that I could see the shape of at last.
